FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND: Primary Challenge 5km

Foxton Beach School students – are you ready for a challenge?

We are looking for keen students (any age) to represent our school in the Primary Challenge 5km this weekend! You can even have parents or siblings running with you.

If you would like to be part of the Foxton Beach School team, please see Whaea Bex in Room 1 or email her at rvanderzwan@foxtonbeach.school.nz.

The deadline to enter is 5pm this Thursday.
The school will cover the entry fee and registration.

We would love to have a strong school team on Sunday! Whaea Bex is organising the team, and Erin Sexton has kindly volunteered to gather and manage the children on Sunday — what a great team effort!

Children will be given school sports tops on Friday to wear for the event.

Please meet Erin at 8:30am for a 9:00am start.
Parents must stay at the event with their children.

Let’s get behind this and show our school spirit! ????‍♀️????‍♂️

Foxton Beach Swimming Sports 2026 

(Year 4-8) 

Date: Thursday 5th March 2026

Time: 1:00pm - 2:30pm

Venue: Foxton Pools, Aquatics Horowhena

Kia ora e te whānau,

We are excited to announce our annual school swimming event for Tarānui and Kuaka students (Year 4 -8) which will be held at the Foxton Pools Aquatics Centre.

This event is a compulsory part of our school curriculum, and we expect all students to attend and participate fully. It is a fantastic opportunity for students to build confidence and leadership skills. The results from this event will also help us select the team to represent our school at the upcoming inter-school swimming competition.

What Students Need to Bring (All items to be clearly named and in a bag:

Swimwear
Towel
Goggles

Parent Support - Transport Required

We require parent assistance with timekeeping and transport to and from the venue. If you are able to help, please complete the section below. We kindly ask parent drivers to be at school by 12:00 pm on the day of the event.

Action Required: Return the completed permission slip by Thursday 26th February 2026.
