Kia ora whānau,
We are looking forward to the upcoming Kapa Haka Festival on Friday 26 June and the tamariki are excited to share their learning with you.
To help our group look their best on the day, please ensure your child comes to school wearing:
• School shorts or skorts with bare legs (no tights or leggings)
• A clean school polo shirt
The children will also be wearing our special Junior Kapa Haka harakeke costume as part of their performance.
For our girls, we ask that hair is tied back and off their foreheads where possible.
If your child has a special taonga such as a bone carving or pounamu, they are very welcome to wear it as part of our performance.
Thank you for your support. We are looking forward to a wonderful day celebrating kapa haka together.
Further information will be shared shortly about the organisation and times of the day.
Ngā mihi,
Team Kōtare
Just to let you know that Whaea Pare is no longer available for parent interviews this Thursday evening. We will ensure your child's reporting information is shared with you and arrange an opportunity to discuss their progress as soon as Pare is well enough to do so. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Due to the weather Rippa Rugby at Coley Street School has been postponed until next Tuesday.
